Torrington Cavalier

Manufactured in February 1969 as a 192hp diesel electric shunter by Ruston and Hornsby in Lincoln, 544998 was the last standard gauge locomotive built by the company. It was delivered new to the Nevils Dock and Railway Company in Llanelli where it continued to work until 1990. 544998 was purchased from the Chasewater Railway and arrived at Torrington in Spring 2017, later the same year on August 19th 544998 was officially named 'Torrington Cavalier' after a local charity organisation.
